Tito Ortiz Biography, Age
Jacob Christopher Ortiz was born on January 23, 1975, in Huntington Beach, California. His pedigree is mixed, as his father, Samuel Ortiz, is of Mexican descent and his mother, Joyce Ortiz, who was born in Hilo, Hawaii, is of English descent. His nickname “Tito” was given to him by his father when he was just one year old, and when he was five, the family moved to Santa Ana, still in California. His mother was already married before she met his father. She was married to Louie Simmons, and the union had produced three children, all boys.
Growing up was both a challenge and a trauma for Ortiz, especially because his parents were not the right role models. Both parents were drug addicts, and their nonchalance led young Ortiz out onto the streets, where he got involved with gangs and drugs (including cocaine), which got him some time in juvie. When Ortiz realized that he couldn’t feed himself from his home, he settled on a local pier to fish and feed himself from the proceeds. The marriage of Ortiz’s parents could not stand the pressure and broke down when he was thirteen years old, which led to him returning to Huntington Beach with his mother.
He attended high school in Huntington Beach High School, where he began his adventure in the world of amateur wrestling in his second year there. It happened to be a good decision for him when he won the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) championship, which qualified him for the state-level competition, where he finished fourth. As he became more and more involved in his “fights”, his mother drove him out of the house at the age of 18, and he teamed up with an old mentor, Paul Herrera, who was the wrestling coach at Golden West College in Huntington Beach, California at the time. Ortiz enrolled at Golden West College after Herrera advised him to do so, and there he continued his thirst for fame with a career in wrestling. He entered the California Junior College State Championships as a junior, winning the competition two years in a row, and then moved on to California State University.
Ortiz’s net worth is definitely not only due to his wrestling career, as the former fighter of the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) is a versatile man and has several investments in his name. Not only is he a former professional wrestler and MMA fighter, but Tito Ortiz is also an actor and entrepreneur. He founded a sports management company, Primetime 360 Entertainment & Sports Management Inc., runs a fitness center in Huntington Beach, Punishment Training Center, and also owns a sports equipment and sportswear brand, Punishment Athletics Enterprises.
Ortiz, who referred to himself as “Muhammad Ali” of MMA, had a fighting career during which he won several championships and achieved so many remarkable victories. He had duels with Forrest Griffin, Wanderlei Silva, Ken Shamrock, Evan Tanner, just to name a few. His longtime rival in this sport during his career was Chuck Liddell. He has appeared in several films. He was referred to by producer Jeff Mostut as “The next Vin Diesel” of Hollywood. His most remarkable film appearance is in the 2005 film The Crow: Wicked Prayer. He has net assets of 15 million dollars.
Tito Ortiz Wife, Girlfriend, Kids
Tito Ortiz has been married before, although he is currently out of this marriage relationship, and he is currently dating Amber Nichole Miller. Ortiz was first married to his first wife, known only by her first name, Kristen. Their union produced a son, Jacob Ortiz Jr., and their marriage lasted only five years. Very little is known about the details of their marriage.
After separating from Kristen, Tito Ortiz met Jenna Jameson, a porn star, on the social media platform MySpace and they started dating in 2006. Although tongues wavered, Ortiz was in love with Jameson and declined an invitation to attend the United States Marine Corps’ birthday ball as a guest of honor in November 2006 because they wouldn’t accept her as his guest, even though, according to him, she had dropped out of the adult film industry. The couple has twin boys together, who welcomed her on March 16, 2009. Their two boys are named Jesse Jameson Ortiz and Journey Jette Ortiz. Their relationship did not last long either, as they separated after nine years, in March 2013. Ortiz has custody of the twin boys, as decided by a court.
