He spent about 20 years building a steep basketball career, but that wasn’t the only thing the star has built over the years and he has the family to prove it. So it’s time to find out if he’s as good a family man as he is on the court, let’s take a look at Kobe Bryant’s wife, the rest of his clan, and the place they call home.
Kobe Bryant’s Wife
Maybe you have seen her or heard of her, either way, one thing is for sure, she is a splendid specimen of a woman, she does not age either. Her name is Vanessa Marie Bryant, but she was born on 5 May 1982 as Vanessa Cornejo Urbieta Laine. She was born in Huntington Beach, California, as the daughter of Mexican parents, but her father was not really in the picture because her parents divorced when she was 3 years old.
She was a video fairy at a fairly young age, and that’s how she met Kobe. She was shooting a music video as an extra when Kobe happened to be in the same building and it clicked instantly. Here’s the juicy part, the Latina beauty was still in high school at the time.
Anyway, that didn’t stop her from being together, and when she was 18 and he was 22, they tied the knot. They were a little uncomfortable at the time because Kobe’s parents didn’t approve of her becoming Kobe’s wife. They did not even attend the couple’s wedding in 2001.
The term “spicy Latina” was actually made for them, the athlete’s wife is known to cause a little drama here and there. She was once sued by a housemaid, apparently she “harassed, molested and humiliated” her during her two-week stay there. So what did she end up breaking?
She accidentally stuck a $690 blouse in the washing machine, and Vanessa allegedly demanded that she put her hand in a bag of dog poop to get the price tag. The case was settled out of court, however. She also had a little argument with Khloe Kardashian, back when the reality TV star was a Laker wife, the words “fake wife” might have been used.
Despite all the drama she has been through, she has gotten her fair share back, especially in her conjugal home. She stayed with Kobe after his trial for sexual assault, she forgave him his “mistake of adultery” and canceled her divorce, which would have won her the jackpot.
Did we mention that the couple did not sign a prenuptial agreement, she would have taken half of his estimated $150 million, three houses and the $4 million 8-carat diamond ring that Kobe gave her. Well, in the end, it wasn’t necessary.
Kobe Bryant’s Kids
The athlete is the proud father of three daughters, Natalia Diamante Bryant, born on January 19, 2003, Gianna Maria-Onore Bryant, born on May 1, 2006, and more recently Bianka Bella Bryant, born on December 5, 2016. If you wonder how it is possible that these girls are so young, you are not alone. With a father as tall as Kobe, it is no surprise that his offspring follow this example.

And for those of you who wonder why they have an Italian name, there is a good reason: Kobe spent most of his early years in Italy, so he brought a part of his early heritage into the naming process.
Kobe Bryant’s House
He is one of the greatest players in the history of the NBA, so he is only expected to live in style. Since he has earned more than $320 million in salaries alone during his career, we expect to see great things when we take a tour of the House of Legend. Kobe’s luxurious Californian villa in California cost a whopping $10.95 million, and as much as that is, his bank account obviously didn’t leave a dent in his account.
Built-in 1997, the house features a home theater, its own shark pool, gym and hair salon, a huge pool with an outdoor spa area, and a waterfall! In addition to his basketball court, the retired player has a tennis court.
If you thought that’s all there is to it, you were probably mistaken. In addition to their indoor kitchen, the Bryants have an outdoor kitchen and a fireplace cooking area. The house also has four bedrooms and five full bathrooms with a half bath. When it comes to stylish living, he’s one of the stars who does it right.
