Brendan Beck – Professional Career

Brendan Beck was a graceful player in high school. He was a fantastic athlete and student. He was named captain of the team twice. In 16 appearances as a senior, he had a 6-0 record, a 0.35 ERA, and eight saves. He set the school record for most saves in season 8. He won the title of athlete of the year in 2017. In 2017, he was named co-league MVP, third-team all-state, and first-team all-section.

Then he transferred to Stanford and became a member of their baseball club. At UC Davis, he had a 3-2 victory on his university debut. We’ve completed our task. 3 K, 5 H, and 2 ER in 5.2 IP. In Stanford’s 11-1 win over Texas, he pitched 6.0+ innings with 5 strikeouts, 2 hits, and 0 earned runs. The Collegiate Baseball Newspaper selected him freshman All-America. Beck struck out a career-high six batters while allowing just three hits and no runs in a win over UC Davis on April 10th. In 6.0 innings at Santa Clara on April 3, he allowed two quick increases in demand for four hits.

Raise to Fame

On March 27th, he pitched 5.0 innings against San Diego, allowing only two hits and no runs. He was named to the D1 Baseball Freshman All-America second team, University Baseball Freshman All-America first team, NCBWA Freshman All-America first group, and Wonderful Game Freshman All-America first group as a freshman. He was also given an honorable mention by the Pac 12 as a whole.

In his sophomore year, he performed admirably and earned several honorable mentions. He was named to the all-tournament team for the Stanford regional. Brendan was named to the NCBWA and Collegiate Baseball preseason All-America teams. He was named to the second team of the Pac-12 Academic All-Conference team and the third team of the college baseball newspaper’s preseason All-America squad. On April 8th, he was named Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week.

Brendan made four appearances, three of which were starts, and he went 0-3 with a 2.82 ERA in 22.1 innings thrown, a 25-6 strikeout-to-walk ratio, and a.212 batting average against. He was the game’s Friday night starter. In 8.0 innings versus Grand Canyon on February 28th, he struck out seven batters while allowing only three hits. This was the start of his junior career. In the year 2020, he was named to Pac’s academic honor roll.
